About the Role

We are seeking a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our high-performing Line Maintenance team at Sydney Airport. This permanent full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization.

Job Description

As a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering quality maintenance and rectification services while ensuring compliance with OHS and safety regulations. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on our fleet of Dash 8's, B717's, and A220 aircraft, adhering to the system of certification and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest level of safety and quality in all maintenance activities
  • Perform rectification, servicing, and maintenance on QantasLink aircraft and equipment according to Procedures Manual and aircraft manufacturers' Maintenance Manual requirements
  • Supervise, coach, and motivate teams to ensure effective implementation and management of change
  • Develop and maintain thorough understanding of Qantas maintenance procedures and quality requirements
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff within Qantas and other customers

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven leadership capabilities and demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and motivate teams
  • Heavy/Line Maintenance experience on company and customer aircraft (B1 or B2 Licence)
  • Australian Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence rated on Company aircraft in the Mechanical and/or Avionics category
  • Current LAME qualification with experience in Line Maintenance
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to implement and manage change
  • Sound commercial awareness and commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement principles
  • Proven problem-solving skills under pressure and ability to communicate effectively
