About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Qantas Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering safe, cost-effective, and quality maintenance products and services to our airline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out maintenance work in the Unit Load Devices (ULD) and Galley Cart workshop
  • Deliver safe, cost-effective, and quality maintenance products and services to the airline
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve maintenance goals and objectives
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Qantas Group policies
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical, Avionics, or Structures) - desirable
  • Australian recognised trade qualification - mechanical preferred
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of maintenance procedures
  • Commitment to being a highly customer-focused team worker with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required
  • Previously or currently a Non-Licenced Certifying Staff (advantageous)
  • A current airside drivers' licence (advantageous)
  • A current forklift licence (advantageous)
  • Sound communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly developed attention to detail
