About the Role

As a WIP Shed Supervisor at WesTrac, you will play a critical role in managing our designated store in Western Australia. Reporting to the Area Manager - Service Efficiency & Innovation, this dynamic position requires an experienced leader with a passion for safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

This is a high-profile role that demands exceptional supervisory skills, warehouse management expertise, and a proven track record in driving operational excellence. You will be responsible for daily leadership, support, and mentoring of the WIP controllers, fostering a strong culture of safety and teamwork within the Component Rebuild Centre (CRC).

Safety Focus: As a key member of our team, you will provide a safe work environment, conduct regular Safe Risk Observations, and manage incident reporting and resolution effectively.

Operational Excellence: Your primary objective will be to ensure all work meets customer expectations, investigate reworks, and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement: We are seeking an innovative professional who can promote initiatives to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example: Embody WesTrac values through your actions, behaviors, and decisions.
  • Manage inventory: Ensure accurate tracking, storage, and movement of WIP materials.
  • Mentor and develop team members: Foster growth, knowledge sharing, and succession planning.
  • Implement process improvements: Identify areas for enhancement and collaborate with stakeholders to drive change.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a similar industry.
  • Proven track record of warehouse management, parts distribution, or logistics experience.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
