Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description:

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in guaranteeing that our specialty products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting regular quality checks and testing across production to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough quality control checks and tests to ensure food safety and adherence to industry standards
  • Leading projects aimed at enhancing processes, supplier standards, and operational efficiency
  • Developing and maintaining product specifications, recipes, and nutritional panels
  • Training and mentoring production teams to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement
  • Overseeing audits, CAPA, and regulatory compliance initiatives

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role (hybrid - QC & Technical Lead) and knowledge of HACCP, GMP, BRC/SQF, and ISO 22000 standards
  • Hands-on quality control and laboratory experience within food manufacturing
  • Analytical problem solver with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience in recipe/specification management and data-driven quality reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field; HACCP/Quality certifications highly desirable
  • A good understanding of business dynamics
