This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Payroll Officer.

About the Role

The Payroll Officer will support the Finance Manager in all payroll aspects and work effectively with the Finance Team. The role includes:

  1. Processing fortnightly and monthly payroll for over 150 staff.
  2. Administration of Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Child Support, & Workers Compensation.
  3. Overseeing timesheet processes to ensure accurate data capture.
  4. Reconciling and completing end-of-year STP finalisation.
  5. Setting up and maintaining employee card files.
  6. Responding to employee payroll-related queries.
  7. Providing reports and information as required by Management, HR, and Finance departments.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MYOB AccountRight Plus.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, & Adobe Pro.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
  • Previous experience within the marine and offshore industries is desirable.
