We are seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer Writer to join our team at Practical Law Australia. As a key member of our commercial law team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal content to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay up-to-date with commercial law developments and provide expert advice to our customers.
- Plan, research, write, and edit premium quality commercial know-how resources, including practice notes, standard documents, and checklists.
- Support internal peer review processes to ensure content is accurate and reflects current market practice.
- Meet with external customers and industry experts to build a deep understanding of commercial law and related developments.
- Provide legal expertise in responding to customer queries about commercial law and practice.
- Assist in the planning and development of commissioned content authored by commercial lawyers.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- At least 5 years of experience as a commercial lawyer, preferably in an in-house role or a top/mid-tier private practice.
- An established reputation as an expert in commercial law.
- A genuine interest in commercial law and a desire to help re-invent the way legal know-how works.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and analytical mindset, with a positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
