A temporary full-time position is available at St Benedict's Catholic College, Oran Park, to teach Science. This role exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning, enabling students to reach their full potential.



Essential Selection Criteria

  • Mission and Purpose: Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Classroom Environment: Create and maintain an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Student Support: Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Teaching and Learning: Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in Science.
  • Assessment: Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Professional Engagement: Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers, and the wider school community.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications: Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area(s).
  • Accreditation: Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
  • Registration: The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.


Working with Children Clearance

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with CEDoW.
