Youth Justice Facilitator

This is a statutory appointment requiring flexible hours including outside of regular working hours and weekend work.
About the PositionYouth Justice Conference Coordinators prepare for and facilitate Youth Justice Conferences following restorative justice principles. This involves inviting and meeting with conference participants and facilitating the conference conversation and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Self-motivated, excellent communication and listening skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Good computer skills and ability to complete administrative tasks efficiently
- Comfortable working with and supporting a diverse range of participants
Able to develop and maintain community networks and relationships with local authorities, cultural groups, support services and other community agencies Be dedicated to working collaboratively and connecting with multicultural and Aboriginal young people, families, and victims.
Able to work with young people, families, and victims of crime.
Able to commit to regular availability to complete conferences (each conference referral takes approximately 10-15 hours including preparation and the conference)
Flexible in your approach to working with others.
Work in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Able to complete mandatory training and willing to travel.
Requirements- Possession of a valid driver's licence
- National Criminal History Check
- Access to own personal computer with internet access and mobile phone
- New South Wales Working with Children Check Clearance
