Terminal Operations Role

About the Position:

The primary objective of this role is to facilitate the safe and efficient movement and storage of hydrocarbon fuel within and between operational facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee overall safety, operation, and maintenance of terminal/site.
  • Ensure receipt, safe handling, and storage of fuel products.
  • Perform tasks associated with maintenance and product quality, including product transfers, sampling, and testing.
  • Respond to emergencies and control incidents.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders regarding product receipt planning.
  • Sample products from tanks and test points.
  • Monitor and record product levels and movements within inventory systems.
  • Undertake basic housekeeping duties in operational areas and sites.
  • Load/unload rail/tankers and ships.
  • Conduct audits and interact with drivers for compliance and safe operations.
  • Participate in HSSE assurance activities, audits, emergency response, and work insights.

Requirements:

  • Experience in an operational or manufacturing environment (preferably in the dangerous goods industry).
  • Working knowledge of site security plans, asbestos management, health risk assessments, hazardous affect management, and applicable bowties.
  • Understanding of the Emergency Response plan and ability to undertake the Operator's role in case of an emergency.
  • Awareness of site traffic management plans.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
