About this Role:

We are seeking a professional with expertise in open cut mining operations to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote site safety, environmental, health, and quality of mining activities
  • Develop and maintain short-term Load & Haul schedules to meet production targets
  • Design and optimize haul roads, dump locations, and loading areas using mine planning software
  • Collaborate with operations, drill & blast, and geology teams to ensure alignment of plans and execution
  • Monitor and adjust schedules based on operational feedback, equipment availability, and changing conditions
  • Conduct regular pit inspections to validate designs and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Provide technical support to supervisors and operators regarding plan implementation and design intent
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in mine planning and operational efficiency

Requirements:

A degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent is required. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are essential for success in this role.
