Senior Researcher Position: Mining Equipment Development

The Postdoctoral Fellow will be part of a research team at UNSW, contributing to the development of innovative mining equipment and safety technologies. The role involves collaborating with researchers to enhance research outcomes and creating scholarly output that is recognized by peers.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute independently or as a team member in collaborative research projects focused on enhancing the quality of research outcomes in mining equipment development and safety technologies.
- Undertake specific research projects under the guidance of a research leader and contribute to the development of research activities.
- Support the dissemination of research outcomes through appropriate channels and outlets.
To succeed in this role, you should possess a PhD in Mining/Safety/Mechanical Engineering or related areas. Proven commitment to keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments is essential. You should also have demonstrated capability in mining equipment/product design, development, and testing, with experience in mechanical systems, industrial product development, or safety-related technologies.
A strong track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity is required. Additionally, you should have demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines, and build effective relationships. Highly developed interpersonal skills are necessary for communicating and interacting with diverse stakeholders and students.
Background in industrial design or product development is desirable, and at least 5 years of relevant work experience is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English are also highly valued.
