Job Title

A highly skilled Senior Research Fellow is sought to contribute to the Population Child Health (PCH) Research Group. The ideal candidate will be an experienced academic with expertise in child health research, driven by a passion for improving health outcomes.

The successful applicant will have a PhD in a relevant field, with a proven track record of high-quality research and grant acquisition. They will also possess excellent collaboration and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines and build meaningful relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to high-quality publications and competitive grant acquisition.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including clinicians, health services, policymakers, and academic partners.
  • Mentor students, groups, and colleagues.

The role involves driving research strategy, collaboration, and outcomes within the PCH Research Group.

Requirements
  • PhD in health services research, epidemiology, psychology, or non-lab-based child health research.
  • Proven commitment to staying up-to-date with discipline knowledge and developments.
  • Demonstrated track record of research excellence and capacity for research leadership.
  • Experience in translation intervention research preferred.
  • Ability to generate grant income.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives, and values.
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities.
