Job Overview

The Senior Maintenance Manager will lead the project development pipeline for the Maintenance Department. They will ensure projects are delivered to agreed acceptance criteria and plans.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of professionals to deliver infrastructure projects from conceptual design through detailed design, procurement, construction, handover and close-out.
  • Assist with preparation of site construction reports, ultimately responsible for the technical success of projects.
  • Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and quality assurance.
  • Compilation and control of project documents including maintenance of a register, ensuring prompt issue of documentation to stakeholders.
  • Implementation of company policies for projects.
  • Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business to identify issues and opportunities to improve efficiency and simplify processes.
  • Coordinate construction activities ensuring projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications with all stakeholders.
  • Liaise with teams for planning and execution purposes.
  • Coordinate project execution activities with other functions, Maintenance and Production Sub-functions to effectively manage these activities.
  • Supervise project delivery teams onsite and ensure standards of work are maintained at the highest level, re-work is minimised, and good housekeeping standards are kept.

Key Requirements:

  • Be a safety leader and advocate - implement and verify safe systems of work related to project planning, delivery, construction and handover (eg critical risk verifications, safe work methods statements, risk assessment and audits).
  • Demonstrate experience and understanding of leading project delivery lifecycle and effective construction management (safety, technical, cost/commercial).
  • Provide technical expertise in heavy industry context - high risk and complex project environments.
  • Possess project, time management and prioritisation skills, with high attention to detail, excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Hold strong stakeholder collaboration and contractor management skills.
