Senior Test Analyst - Automation Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Analyst - Automation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation and experience with designing, building and maintaining test automation frameworks using JAVA and Python.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and development of quality test approach, test design and test cases for Systems under this team. They will also implement and execute test cases according to documented test design and time frames, document results and report defects.

Additionally, the Senior Test Analyst - Automation Specialist will work closely with BAs, Developers, Support Analysts and Business Stakeholders to ensure understanding of the requirements and to communicate test status and issues.

They will also document test results for sign off so releases can get promoted to production, and work closely with external vendors who provide automation solutions for different products and manage weekly updates.

Experience with testing futures/ derivatives products or clearing systems is highly desirable, as well as experience with test environment and test data setup.

The ideal candidate will be an active member of the QE&T Community of Practice (CoP) and will have excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4-5 years of experience in test automation
  • Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience with testing methodologies and principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

You will also need:

  • A degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proficiency in JAVA and Python programming languages
  • Experience with test management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
