We are seeking a professional with extensive experience in environmental management to join our team on the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) project in Adelaide.
About the Project:- The T2D project is a major infrastructure development involving the construction of two separate tunnels and a 78km continuous motorway.
- This initiative will have a lasting impact on the community and residents of Adelaide.
This role will report directly to the Environmental Manager and be responsible for overseeing the implementation of environmental programs to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, contractual obligations, and Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing management of project Environmental Management Plans and systems.
- Provide expert guidance, diligence, and consistency to site teams and internal stakeholders on environmental matters.
- Identify and effectively manage environmental risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct regular inspections, monitoring, and reporting to guarantee compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with environmental consultants and undertake field monitoring as required.
- Maintain comprehensive environmental records and ensure management is informed of any changes to legal, regulatory, or project obligations.
- Liaise with government agencies, local councils, and professional organisations on environmental issues.
- Communicate environmental information to management and staff, supporting induction and training programs.
- Influence and promote a positive environmental culture within the project.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in environmental management within construction, infrastructure, or major projects sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
- Certificate IV in Environment (desirable).
- Strong knowledge of compliance and reporting procedures, environmental management tools, and incident investigation processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and external stakeholders.
- White Card and driver's licence required.
