The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Contaminated Land Management Specialist to join our team in Townsville.
This exciting new role will offer you the chance to work closely with senior leaders across various sectors including water, energy, mining, and defence.
Based in our Townsville office, this position offers a flexible working arrangement with the option to work from home 1-2 days per week when not required on site.
Our large Contaminated Site team provides the scale and reach you need to make a real impact.

Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting environmental field works with varied considerations for safety and intricate geology/hydrogeology
- Collecting environmental samples and interrogating large datasets to develop conceptual site models
- Drafting technical assessment reports and recommendations
- Overseeing contractors and managing safe, compliant, and quality field works programs
- Applying legislation, standards, and project specifications
- Preparing proposals and leading projects to meet strategic goals
- Building strong relationships with colleagues and clients
- Guiding, mentoring, and inspiring junior consultants to reach their highest potential
- Collaborating with the national team to execute initiatives locally
- Managing small to medium-scale projects and contributing to market action plans
- Upholding a strong safety culture and championing safety initiatives
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual with 7-12 years of relevant experience in contaminated-site projects.
Strong knowledge of soil contaminants and QLD regulations is essential.
Tertiary education in earth sciences/agriculture or environmental science/engineering is also required.
Experience in business development, proposal writing, and delivering exceptional client outcomes is desirable.
