**Job Overview**

The Inventory and Purchasing Supervisor role is a critical position within our organization. This leadership position involves overseeing the effective management of inventory systems, coordinating purchasing contracts, ensuring compliance and operational readiness.

This includes:

  • Maintaining accurate records to track and control Council assets.
  • Supervising and supporting Stores staff to ensure efficient service delivery across multiple locations.
  • Coordinating supply and purchasing arrangements that provide value and monitor supplier compliance.
  • Ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-resourced working environment for all Stores operations.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service through effective procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement to strengthen service delivery and operational readiness.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will have hands-on experience in inventory management and staff supervision.

Essential Experience includes:

  • Proven experience in inventory operations and management.
  • Experience in supervising staff to achieve operational objectives.
  • Ability to promote continuous improvement and manage change.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage purchasing, tender, and contract arrangements.
  • Sound knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act Regulations pertaining to storage and inventory management.
