Job Summary:

G.James Glass and Aluminium, a leading integrated glass and aluminium manufacturer and contractor, is seeking a highly skilled and licensed Industrial Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our Aluminium Products (Extrusion) department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly inspect and maintain plant machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Attend to general breakdowns and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose faults and identify appropriate action to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conduct electrical installations for new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Accurately complete all records and paperwork as directed.

Requirements:

  • Electrical License and trade qualification.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with PLC fault finding is highly regarded, but not essential.
  • Strong safety focus, with good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good attitude, with a preference for being 'hands on' and willing to upskill and learn.
  • Current LVR / CPR certification and own tools.
