Job Description
">We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Culturally Responsive Practitioner. This role will play a critical part in strengthening communication and understanding with key stakeholders to support timely and effective service responses to meet the needs of vulnerable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families.
">The successful candidate will provide efficient and quality initial assessment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, triaging referrals for at-risk children to key stakeholders, to mitigate child protection risks and improve safety for vulnerable children and their families. They will also work in partnership with all stakeholders across the child protection, education, and human service systems to identify and implement responses for vulnerable families.

">Required Skills and Qualifications
">To be successful in this role, you will need:

- An appropriate Social Work qualification from a recognized tertiary institution giving eligibility for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers;">
- Demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, including developing strong relationships and partnerships;">
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, colleagues, and community partners;">
- A sound understanding of child protection principles and practices, including risk assessment and management;">
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a focus on cultural competency and best practice in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing.">
