Exciting opportunity for a bridge engineer to develop their skills and expertise in the design, assessment, and management of bridges.

Job Description:
  • We are seeking an experienced bridge engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical design and assessment of bridges, including load ratings.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and assess bridges to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  2. Conduct inspections of bridges and other civil structural assets to identify potential issues and recommend remedial actions.
  3. Deliver bridge rehabilitation schemes, including strengthening and replacement works, to extend the lifespan of existing infrastructure.
  4. Provide site and project management for minor works, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  5. Prepare and submit technical engineering reports to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in bridge design and assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including AS/NZS and Australian Standards.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience working on Australian road and rail bridge projects, with a strong understanding of local conditions and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
