The Senior Mental Health Liaison Specialist position serves as a central point of mental health expertise for our institution. This role is responsible for conducting timely mental health assessments, collaborating with multiple parties, and ensuring operational excellence by assisting the hospital in meeting local and state KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide complex clinical consultancy services within a mixed clinical environment.
- Lead national and international mental health nursing groups, showcasing expertise and fostering professional growth.
- Develop comprehensive care plans based on assessment findings, incorporating patient input and prioritizing established goals.
- Deliver outstanding patient and family-centred care in a team-focused environment.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to junior staff, promoting professional development and excellence.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years full-time postgraduate experience, with at least 3 years full-time equivalent experience in mental health nursing.
