**About the Role**

The Policy Officer is responsible for preparing and maintaining documentation to ensure accessibility of quality information.

Key responsibilities include contributing to project outcomes, supporting effective decision making, and communicating with key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have experience in working in a policy environment, including policy analysis, development, and review.

They will also have a sound understanding of the policy process and experience in planning, coordinating, and reporting on stakeholder engagement.

**Essential Requirements**

The successful candidate will hold a current and valid Working with Children Check and have a demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

**Key Skills and Experience**

The successful candidate will have sound organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.

They will also have adaptability and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, sensitive, and changing environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is a demonstrated experience in policy analysis and development.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of the policy process and experience in working in a policy environment.

You will also have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and deliver high-quality work.
