Entry level, Full-time position in Quality Assurance

Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing quality assurance processes within our organisation. Your exceptional attention to detail and deep understanding of standards such as ISO 18385 will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include conducting internal and supplier audits, updating procedures to meet ISO standards, managing environmental sampling, reporting lab results, performing trend analysis, recommending corrective actions, monitoring risks and continuous improvement, preparing standard reports on quality outcomes, and overseeing calibration and maintenance of equipment.

Additionally, you will review and update quality procedures aligned with operational changes, assess product/process risks to ensure compliance, support development of new forensic products and kits, record quality data using approved databases, and adhere to our organisational policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Background in quality assurance or a related field;
  • Experience with standards such as ISO 18385, particularly in forensic or laboratory settings;
  • Familiarity with manuals and processes related to food safety or forensic applications;
  • Attention to detail and accurate event recording;
  • Proficient in documentation management systems;
  • Sound organisational and planning skills, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail;
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Sound communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Sound computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office applications and the capacity to adopt new technologies to support business improvement;
  • Willingness to obtain or hold relevant certification(s).
