**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to support our Perth manufacturing facility in maintaining food safety and quality.

As a key member of our Technical team, you will be responsible for auditing production processes, addressing issues, and meeting customers' expectations through a practical, hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit and manage HACCP programs to ensure compliance with business and regulatory requirements
  • Support continuous improvement through RCA, CAPA, and pre-requisite programs
  • Monitor products and processes daily to ensure compliance with business and regulatory requirements
  • Investigate deviations from established standards and conduct quality assessments and reporting results to the Production team
  • Maintain quality assurance documentation and associated administrative duties
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance procedures and conduct on-job training where necessary
  • Use technical expertise when communicating with vendors and clients to ensure high-quality standards and compliance with all legislative requirements
  • Be a proactive member of the Production team to ensure open communication and develop/recommend improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency

Requirements:

  • Experience in Quality Assurance in a food manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of quality assurance principles, HACCP, and GMP
  • Demonstrated strong Auditing skills and experience
  • Degree qualified in food science or a related discipline
  • Comfortable working at both a site and national approach level
  • Ability to work unsupervised and exercise independence to problem-solve and make decisions
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and written
  • Ability to liaise and work with team leaders and managers across the factory and other shifts
  • Flexibility to work flexible hours
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to prioritize
  • Applicants who have worked in a previous role where HACCP or BRC (or a GFSI Program) have been in operation will be highly regarded
