Job Title: Senior Legal Specialist
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to join our team as a Senior Legal Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance to support business operations across Australia and New Zealand.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive legal advice on contracts, agreements, and other commercial arrangements to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to minimize risk and optimize business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential legal issues and provide solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Review and advise on proposed contracts and tenders to ensure they meet company standards and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough contract reviews and negotiations with clients and sub-consultants to secure favorable terms and conditions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A law degree and admission to the bar in Australia or New Zealand.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in-house or with a consulting firm.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex legal issues.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
