About the Role

The Salesforce Engineer at AirTree Ventures Pty is part of a squad with a well-defined mission and ships high-quality code and solutions to the challenges of helping customers reach their financial independence more quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing software solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Testing the stability and functionality of the application to ensure it meets the required standards.
  • Reviewing and collaborating with others on internal and cross-team technical proposals to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Performing configuration and customization of the Salesforce platform to meet business needs.
  • Collaborating with the API layer using a micro-services architecture and components on public cloud infrastructure to ensure seamless integration.
  • Continuously increasing efficiency and quality of the team through tooling and experimentation to drive business growth.
  • Collaborating with everyone in an open and constructive way to foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Operating the platform products offered by the team to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Providing production support for the Salesforce platform as well as across AWS services with support from other team members to ensure minimal downtime.

About You

You are a skilled engineer with high standards, passion for quality, and a handful of years of experience under your belt.

You are adaptable and keen to learn new languages when necessary but already competent and comfortable developing with APEX and Lightning Web Components (LWC).

You have experience with web service technology (REST / SOAP / GQL, JSON / XML, etc) and are proficient in building services using Typescript and AWS.

You have great interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues in production, help determine root causes, and propose the most appropriate solution for the situation.

You can collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and other IT staff members to understand goals, derive/adapt requirements, and implement solutions.

You are comfortable working in an Agile, fast-paced Dev Ops environment and are a problem-solver who embraces the can-do attitude.

You are a team player who is keen to learn and get comfortable with new technologies and proactively engage in continuous improvement efforts for application design, support, and development efforts.

  • Capacity to think holistically and see the bigger picture.
  • Solid writing and communication skills.
  • Experience with public cloud providers is a plus.
  • AWS is a plus-plus and highly desired.
  • Experience with writing backend code using Apex REST is highly desired.
