About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and responding to Freedom of Information requests in line with legislative requirements and organisational policies.">
  • They will also support the implementation and maintenance of records and information management systems, ensuring compliance with records retention, disposal, and governance obligations.">
  • Furthermore, the Information Governance Specialist will provide guidance to internal teams on FOI processes and best practice in information management.">
  • Assisting in the development and review of policies and procedures related to records and data management is also a key aspect of this role.">
  • Key qualifications include demonstrated experience in FOI or records/information management, ideally within a government or public sector environment.">
  • A strong understanding of FOI legislation, records management standards, and information governance frameworks is also essential.">
  • Strong organisational and communication skills are required, as well as the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.">
  • Experience with TechnologyOne, Content Manager (TRIM), or other ERP/EDRMS platforms is desirable, as is knowledge of local government operations and regulatory requirements."]',
