Job Description:

The Operations Director oversees daily trade clearing workflows, ensuring accurate and timely generation of margin deficit files, pay-in/pay-out obligations, and Bhav/obligation reports.

  • Lead a team of 10-15 members, including recruitment, mentoring, performance appraisals, and cross-training.
  • Identify process breakdowns, implement re-engineered workflows to enhance STP rates and settlement efficiency, and strengthen control frameworks.
  • Serve as the central point for trade-related escalations, liaising with front office, trading teams, exchanges, banks, and clearing members.
  • Drive strategic projects for operational efficiency, technology upgrades, and change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily trade clearing workflows.
  • Ensure accurate and timely generation of margin deficit files, pay-in/pay-out obligations, and Bhav/obligation reports.
  • Lead a team of 10-15 members.
  • Maintain strong supervisory controls, manage escalations, and track KPIs/SLAs for error rates and processing timelines.
  • Identify process breakdowns; implement re-engineered workflows to enhance STP rates and settlement efficiency.
  • Strengthen control frameworks, monitor operational risks, and ensure audit-readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage exchange communications for circulars, trade files, and regulatory updates.
  • Drive strategic projects for operational efficiency, technology upgrades, and change initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of trade clearing workflows and operational risk management.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and identify process breakdowns.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to drive strategic projects and implement change initiatives.
