About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking passionate and experienced Lifestyle Attendants to expand our team in the inner northern suburbs of Adelaide.

As a Disability Support Specialist, you will be part of a collaborative team delivering individualised and flexible support to make a positive impact and enhance the quality of life for our customers.

About You
  • You should have experience within a SIL environment and demonstrate the following desired attributes:

  • Experience and/or training working with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Bipolar Affective Disorder (BAD), Schizoaffective disorder, and mild intellectual disabilities is essential.
  • Previous experience in behaviour supports is required.
  • Ability to utilise intervention and de-escalation techniques to support emotional regulation.
  • Able to show initiative and work successfully both in a team environment and autonomously.
  • Passion, professionalism, and integrity within your role.
  • Flexibility to cover teammates when sickness or leave occurs.
  • A willingness to work with participants, families, and relevant professionals to support the participants goals.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Current South Australian Working with Children Check (Working)
  • Current NDIS Workers Screening Check (Working)
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent experience.
  • Current First Aid certificate (completed in the last 3 years)
  • Current CPR certificate (completed in the last 12 months)
  • Current Manual Handling (practical and theory) certificate (completed in the last 12 months)
  • Driver's licence.
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module
  • NDIS Supporting Safe Meals Training Module
  • NDIS Supporting Effective Communication Module.
  • Evidence of Right to Work in Australia such as Visa/VEVO check, Passport, Citizenship, Birth certificate, or 100 points of identification.
