We are seeking passionate and experienced Lifestyle Attendants to join our team in Andrews Farm, SA.

About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for a dedicated individual to support a customer for community participation shifts, 4-hours in length, twice weekly.

You will be part of a collaborative team, delivering individualised and flexible support to make a positive impact and enhance the quality of life for our customers.

About You

The successful applicant will have experience within a SIL environment and possess the following essential attributes:

  • Experience and/or training working with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Bipolar Affective Disorder (BAD), Schizoaffective disorder, and mild intellectual disabilities.
  • Previous experience in behaviour supports is highly desirable.
  • Ability to utilise intervention and de-escalation techniques to support emotional regulation.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and work successfully both in a team environment and autonomously.
  • Passion, professionalism, and integrity within their role.
  • Flexibility to cover teammates when sickness or leave occurs.
  • A willingness to work with participants, families, and relevant professionals to support the participants goals.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current South Australian Working with Children Check (Working)
  • Current NDIS Workers Screening Check (Working)
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (desirable) or equivalent experience
  • Current First Aid certificate (completed in the last 3 years)
  • Current CPR certificate (completed in the last 12 months)
  • Current Manual Handling (practical and theory) certificate (completed in the last 12 months)
  • Driver's licence
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module
  • NDIS Supporting Safe Meals Training Module
  • NDIS Supporting Effective Communication Module
  • Evidence of their Right to Work in Australia such as:
    • Visa/VEVO check
    • Passport
    • Citizenship
    • Birth certificate
    • 100 points of identification
  • Experience and/or training working with the following:
    • Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
    • Bipolar Affective Disorder (BAD)
    • Schizoaffective disorder
    • Mild intellectual disabilities.
