Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this Senior Coal Quality and Logistics Engineer is to oversee the entire coal quality process, from mining to delivery.

This position operates on a Monday to Friday roster with one rostered day off per month, supporting a balanced lifestyle in Mudgee or nearby towns.

  • Ensure compliance with domestic and export specifications through effective management of coal quality processes.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures across all stages of mining and processing.
  • Develop blending forecasts to optimize product delivery and meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate logistics to ensure timely and reliable coal delivery.
  • Conduct regular audits and performance assessments of quality and logistics systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Tertiary qualification in Mining / Civil Engineering / Geology / Process or comparable degree.

  • Proven experience in open-cut mining operations, preferably coal.
  • Exposure to coal logistics and supply chain coordination is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills in MS Office; experience with data analytics or logistics software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of initiating and delivering Continuous Improvement projects.
