About This Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Mine Accountant to support operational and commercial decision-making within our operations at Mandalong Mine.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in an Underground Longwall mining environment, providing challenge and responsibility while enjoying the benefits of living closer to the coast.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Financial Close Processes: Oversee the site's end-of-month close and financial reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Financial Analysis and Insights: Provide detailed cost and variance analysis to inform decision-making and drive improvement.
  • Cost Visibility and Optimization: Partner with operational teams to improve cost visibility, identify opportunities for reduction, and drive process improvements.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting in a capital-intensive environment, ensuring compliance and maximizing value.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Drive the implementation of process and systems improvements to modernize financial operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Culture and Accountability: Champion a culture of transparency, accountability, and commercial acumen across site teams.
