Job Title: Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Virtual Health Services
Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-term
Location: Northern Health
About the PositionThis position will contribute to the research program aligned to the new Victorian Centre for Virtual Health Research (VVHR) at Northern Health, supporting La Trobe University's engagement in the research of this new centre.
The successful candidate will collaborate on and contribute to existing research projects, as well as seeking funding for new research projects.
About the SchoolThe School of Allied Health, Human Services and Sport at La Trobe has a vision to advance healthcare through innovative, collaborative, high-impact and translatable research.
The aim is to improve the health, wellbeing and performance of individuals and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate on and contribute to existing research projects
- Seek funding for new research projects
- Supervise, or co-supervise, Honours, Masters and/or PhD students
- Liaise effectively with a range of collaborators nationally and/or internationally and with industry partners
- Prepare research proposal submissions to external funding bodies
- Manage clinical trials or complex projects involving human participants
- Work in or with health services
- Completion of a PhD or equivalent qualifications or research experience in a relevant field
- A record of publications, conference papers and/or reports, or professional or technical contributions which provide evidence of strong research potential
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, or co-supervise, Honours, Masters and/or PhD students
- Ability to liaise effectively with a range of collaborators nationally and/or internationally and with industry partners
- Experience in the preparation of research proposal submissions to external funding bodies
- Demonstrated experience in managing clinical trials or complex projects involving human participants
- Experience working in or with health services
