Position Overview
A Postdoctoral Research Fellow is sought to contribute to a project supported by the Australian Research Council, collaborating with esteemed faculty at the Centre for Quantum Technology Theory (CQTT). This full-time role offers a competitive salary and is designed for a duration of two years.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in advanced research focused on developing innovative methodologies for the characterization of strongly correlated polaritons.
- Investigate the unique quantum behaviors exhibited by polaritons, particularly in their superfluid state.
- Contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field, particularly regarding polaritons in non-equilibrium conditions.
- Assist in the establishment of Australia as a leader in the commercialization of cutting-edge photonic technologies.
- Participate in student supervision, research publication preparation, and conference presentations.
Candidate Profile
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A robust theoretical foundation in ultracold quantum gases and condensed matter physics.
- A proven track record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Eligibility as an Early Career Researcher, having obtained a PhD within the last five years.
- Experience in superfluidity and/or superconductivity.
- Proficiency in large-scale numerical simulations.
Qualifications
- A doctoral degree in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics or Quantum Physics.
