Nurse Operations Specialist

The role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager is pivotal in providing leadership and direction to nursing staff.
As a key member of the healthcare team, the Associate NUM will facilitate operations and human resource management consistent with contemporary standards and best practice. This includes coordinating hospital staff coverage, managing leave and rostered deficits, and ensuring the provision of safe, quality, and cost-effective nursing care within the designated setting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, rostering, staffing, and educating nursing and midwifery staff, as well as supporting the development of a dynamic, flexible, resilient, and skilled workforce through effective management and professional development opportunities.
This position reports professionally to the Nurse Unit Manager and performs tasks delegated by them to support the operation of the service. The role operates from Monday to Friday, contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care and outcomes.
