Job Summary

The Nurse Leadership and Operations Coordinator is a critical role within our organization, responsible for supporting and collaborating with nursing leadership to ensure effective operations and HR management.

About the Role

This position provides leadership direction to nursing staff, facilitating efficient operations and ensuring high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager and other stakeholders to coordinate hospital staff coverage, manage leave deficits, and maintain optimal rostering.

The key focus of this role is to provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensuring safe, quality, and cost-effective care consistent with contemporary standards and best practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating hospital services, managing human resources, and providing strategic guidance to nursing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Direction: Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Operations Coordination: Coordinate hospital staff coverage, manage leave deficits, and optimize rostering to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Human Resources Management: Manage human resources, including recruitment, training, and performance management, to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Care Coordination: Ensure safe, quality, and cost-effective care by coordinating hospital services and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
  • Degree in Nursing or relevant field
  • Registration as a Registered Nurse (R.N.)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a leadership or coordination role within a healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
