Job Overview

This position requires an experienced legal professional to provide expert advice on Freedom of Information matters and manage requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on Freedom of Information matters and manage FOI requests.
  • Draft responses and provide guidance to stakeholders on disclosure obligations and exemptions.
  • Collaborate with policy and legal teams to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and navigate complex issues.
Requirements
  • Solid experience in FOI law and public sector work.
  • Strong drafting and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
  • Familiarity with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 and related frameworks.
Work Arrangements

Ideal location: Canberra, but will consider Melbourne or Sydney.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of FOI law and be able to provide expert advice on Freedom of Information matters.
