Clinical Nurse Educator Role

The Clinical Nurse Educator position is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care by empowering our workforce with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to join our Aged Care team on the Geriatric Rehabilitation ward. This role offers the chance to promote evidence-based best practice through the coordination and facilitation of clinical education and staff development initiatives.

  1. Responsibilities include identifying learning needs, planning, developing, delivering, and evaluating targeted education programs that enhance clinical capability and confidence at the ward or unit level.
  2. You will work closely with a diverse team of health professionals to create a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence.
  3. In addition to education and development, you may also provide direct clinical care in emergency situations, using these opportunities to model and reinforce best practice for staff.

Requirements
  • Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  • Relevant clinical/education post-registration qualification
  • Recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel
