Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Urgent Care Nurse to join our dynamic team. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care in an urgent care setting.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. You will be responsible for identifying suitable patients for our urgent care clinic, providing front-line care, conducting comprehensive nursing assessments, and implementing nursing interventions with a commitment to quality improvement, practice development, and evidence-based practice.

  • Identify suitable patients for our urgent care clinic and promptly triage them.
  • Provide front-line care while working alongside General Practitioners and Doctors.
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and implement nursing interventions with a commitment to quality improvement, practice development, and evidence-based practice.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in an urgent care setting.
  • Offer healthcare-related education to patients as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current authority to practice as an EN/EEN/RN with the Australian Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Previous experience in an urgent care nursing or high dependency care environment (minimum 2 years preferred).
  • Current CPR or ALS certificate.
  • Effective clinical communication skills, including proficiency with information technology, and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and delegate when required.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities.
