Position: Sonographer - Breast Screen Specialist

Location: Queanbeyan – BreastScreen Service

Overview

This role is for an experienced sonographer to provide quality ultrasound services on a casual basis.

Responsibilities
  • Performing breast ultrasound examinations, assisting with procedures as directed by radiologists, and adhering to quality control activities.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to maintain high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Treating patients with dignity, respect, and empathy, upholding their rights to privacy, confidentiality, and cultural diversity.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to stay updated on the latest developments in breast imaging and participate in CPD programs.
About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography or equivalent qualification with current ASAR registration as a general or breast sonographer.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Experience in screening and diagnostic breast ultrasound, PACS systems, and quality assurance principles.
