Breast Screen Sonographer

An experienced Sonographer is sought to join our team on a casual basis to provide quality sonographic services within our BreastScreen service.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work as part of a Multidisciplinary team with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Performing ultrasound examinations and assisting with ultrasound biopsy procedures as directed by the radiologist.
- Maintaining knowledge on the latest developments in breast imaging and participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Treating clients in a courteous and professional manner having regard to their rights to privacy, dignity, confidentiality and cultural diversity.
- Adhering to and maintaining ultrasound quality control activities for the site and work on quality assurance, write procedures relating to ultrasound.
We are looking for an individual who:
- Possesses a Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography (or equivalent) with current registration as a general or breast sonographer.
- Has experience in screening and diagnostic breast ultrasound and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
- Can maintain up-to-date knowledge of quality assurance practices.
