Job Overview

The Scullery Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and scullery areas.

This position involves:

  • Operating industrial dishwashing machines to wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
  • Cleaning and maintaining dishwashing machines and reporting any malfunctions or issues to management.
  • Ensuring proper waste disposal, recycling practices, and overall kitchen tidiness according to current Health & Hygiene regulations.
  • Action cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas, and scullery.
  • Assisting kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks as required.

To be successful in this role, applicants will need to have existing full working rights within Australia and possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Desirable experience within the hospitality or hotel industry.
  • Understanding of food safety requirements and regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings and weekends.
