Job Title: Real Estate and Development Professional

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced real estate professional to join our Brisbane based team.

You will be working closely with lawyers across all of our offices, advising clients on significant commercial development, urban renewal and infrastructure projects.

  • Advising clients on large-scale commercial developments, including office towers, industrial facilities, build-to-rent projects, mixed-use precincts and renewable energy projects.
  • Acquiring and disposing of assets of various property classes, including commercial, retail, industrial, residential and hotels.
  • Undertaking sale and leaseback transactions.
  • Providing advice on tourist resorts and mixed-use developments and operations.
  • Assisting with joint venture and co-ownership arrangements.
  • Negotiating leasing agreements and lease renewals.
  • Delivering real estate aspects of mergers and acquisitions transactions.
  • Managing general real estate matters, such as subdivisions, enforcement of securities and financing.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a real estate team within a reputable law firm or private practice.
  • Proven expertise in the acquisition, development and sale of real estate assets.
  • The ability to manage complex matters autonomously and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to participate in business development activities, such as pitch documents, firm-wide pursuits, article writing, attending industry events and hosting seminars.
  • A desire to learn, grow, network and mentor others.
