Job Opportunity

The Costing Analytics Department provides analytical support on the analysis of cost related activities in both hospital and aged care services.

The Data Analyst - Technical Costing role requires coordinating and managing multiple priorities within defined timeframes to deliver results.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding and analysing data collected from aged care and hospital services.
  • Contributing to the development of cost models for aged care and hospital services.
  • Preparing technical documentation to communicate complex issues to stakeholders.
  • Supporting senior staff in explaining model results to external stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with other teams on the organisation's broader work program.
Critical Capabilities Include:
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with high attention to detail. Experience in mathematical or statistical analysis and model development.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing clear and efficient code preferably using programming languages such as SAS, SQL, or Python to understand and analyse data.
  • Able to communicate complex information effectively to a range of audiences.
  • Critical thinking skills, including assessing the quality and applicability of complex analysis and modelling.
