Cyber Security Expert Wanted

Our organization seeks a skilled and experienced Cyber Security professional to safeguard our energy assets and protect critical data.

The Cyber Security Engineer will work closely with the IT and Operational Technology (OT) teams to deliver secure solutions. An understanding of networking and experience working with OT environments is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Cyber Security Manager in overseeing physical and cybersecurity measures to protect infrastructure and data.
  • Implement and manage security features within Microsoft suite of products and Azure to ensure data protection and identity access management.
  • Design and implement secure architectures, default security settings, and secure configurations for cloud and vendor technology solutions and in-house systems.
  • Work with Technology teams to design and implement secure architectures and default security settings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of critical energy infrastructure and operations.
  • Monitor security systems, analyze events, assist in investigations, and respond to incidents when necessary.
  • Identify and mitigate security misconfigurations, threats, and vulnerabilities.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products, including Microsoft365, Azure, and Windows OS.
  • Proven experience in security analyst activities, including monitoring and analysis of security events and incident response activities.
  • Understanding of networking, TCP/IP, firewalls, particularly Palo Alto.
  • Understanding of secure architectures, DLP, Identity Access Management principals.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with IT and OT teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, e.g., Information Technology, Cybersecurity.
  • Optional: Relevant cyber security industry certifications, e.g., CEH, GIAC, Security+.
