Job Opportunity

The General Manager Marketing and Commercial Services role is a key leadership position, responsible for elevating the sport's profile, commercial capability, and strategic positioning nationally.

  • This senior executive will develop and implement integrated marketing, communications, events, and commercial strategies to grow brand visibility, commercial revenue, and member engagement.
  • Secure national commercial partnerships, negotiate media and broadcast agreements, and drive innovative digital and content initiatives to expand audience reach and engagement.
  • Deliver major national and international events, ensuring experiences showcase the sport and meet commercial and brand objectives.
  • Mentor high-performing teams, foster collaboration across the organisation, and align marketing and commercial priorities with the broader vision.
  • Work within a federated or member-based sport structure and communicate effectively with clubs, partners, government, and media.
Key Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in revenue generation, sponsorships, media rights, and brand strategy.
  • Experience negotiating partnerships and driving digital content initiatives to grow audience reach and engagement.
  • Ability to leverage data, content, and partnerships to develop new products and uncover revenue opportunities.
  • Understanding of the intersection between elite and community sport and how this shapes commercial and engagement opportunities.
  • Strategic, inclusive, and results-driven leadership with ability to mentor teams and build collaboration across stakeholders.
