We are seeking to establish a pool of Deputy Principals for permanent full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the school year.

Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Safety Bay Primary School is located within the City of Rockingham, approximately 45 km south of Perth.

It has been rebuilt from the original site into a well-planned and resourced school which accommodates a growing population, sitting at just over 600 students

The Role

We are seeking applicants to establish a pool for the Deputy Principal role.

The suitable applicant should possess high levels of knowledge in evidence-informed instructional practices and approaches for achievement, engagement and wellbeing.

They should have experience in leading teams and working collaboratively with an executive team.

A good understanding of multi-tiered system of support (MTSS), Teaching for Impact, and its delivery to staff for classroom implementation is advantageous.

A knowledge of effective processes, and data management to support positive student behaviour across the school is important.

The suitable applicants should have the ability to lead staff in analysing and utilising data to inform practice and differentiate curriculum to meet the needs of students.

The Deputy Principal would manage operational systems, including Compass and support student learning, engagement and wellbeing through MTSS model.

Suitable applicants will ideally have experience in leading whole school process for Students at Educational Risk (SAER), Special Education Needs (SEN) planning and liaising with external agencies.

This includes the development and oversight of Tier 2 and 3 interventions to support diverse student needs and additionally supporting staff to identify and differentiate for a range of learners.

A commitment to fostering a positive school culture to support the Safety Bay PS Business Plan priorities of Everyone Achieves, Everyone Belongs and Everyone Thrives will be a key part of this role.

The suitable applicants will ideally contribute to the School Plan through participatory decision-making, policy development, and system establishment.
