Aircraft Maintenance Careers

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and airworthiness of aircraft. This involves performing routine maintenance tasks, as well as troubleshooting and repairing complex systems.

  • Maintaining emergency escape systems, egress systems, and aircraft weapon systems from computer systems to stores carried by the aircraft.
  • Scheduled servicing and other unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed by the Team Leader.
  • Ensure that all technical documentation used during maintenance is authorised and compliant with regulations.
  • Accurate recording of work performed on relevant documents, and obtaining certification within required timeframes.
  • Incorporating engineering advice, defect reporting, maintenance deficiencies, and publication amendments as directed.
  • Reporting defects, deficiencies, maintenance errors, and unserviceability to the Team Leader in a timely manner.
  • Performing maintenance only at delegated and authorised levels.
  • Initiating quality, non-conformance, or defect reporting for maintenance tasks as directed.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Aeroskills - Armament and military or civil aviation maintenance licence. They must also have a strong understanding of Australian Defence Force aircraft maintenance regulations, processes, and procedures.
