About Our Air Services Role

We are seeking an exceptional leader to manage our air services team, overseeing the day-to-day operations of ticketing, training, and administration processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in airline reservation systems and be capable of motivating and leading a team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the air services team in day-to-day functions, including rostering and Key Result Areas (KRAs)
  • Negotiating wholesale airline contracts with airlines for the best fares
  • Reconciling IATA and BSP billing weekly using back-office systems
  • Pricing and loading fares in our systems for tours to ensure commercial decisions can be made
  • Monitoring and actioning GDS queues for schedule changes, cancellations, and ticketing deadlines
  • Assisting with training new reservations and air support staff on flight specifics
  • Troubleshooting air-related issues and relaying them to the leadership team
  • Building and fostering strong relationships with airline representatives

About You

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of airline reservation systems (preferably Sabre)
  • Experience in ticketing and constructing airfares
  • Capability of leading and motivating a team
  • Ability to read and understand tariffs and airline rules
  • An aptitude for critically thinking and finding out-of-the-box solutions to customer issues
