About this Role

The Materials Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and management of materials and equipment required for successful project delivery.

This role can be based at various locations within Victoria, providing flexibility in work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing non-catalogued and technical materials, including quote review where necessary.
  • Creation of purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Liaising with cross-functional teams, including Designers, Project Managers, Procurement, Logistics, and EP&T regarding materials requirements, technical specifications, procurement, and storage.
  • Maintaining a master list of all materials ordered for projects, including long lead time materials, and providing summary information on project materials status.
  • Overseeing the storage of equipment and materials from receipt to delivery to project site in job lots.
  • Investigating and expediting late delivery or order completeness queries.
  • Ensuring accurate materials and plant are entered into SAP.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant electrical systems certification highly desirable or significant experience in a similar technical sourcing role.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and SAP.
  • Experience in assessing exact detailed material requirements for construction projects.
  • Knowledge of electricity distribution construction.
  • Experience in ordering materials in SAP and supply chain experience.
  • Knowledge of assets, design, and work practices associated with Network Assets.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
